Your 9-day custom itinerary begins in the capital. From Lima, fly to Arequipa and discover why the city’s main plaza is considered the most picturesque in all of Peru. A 3-hour private transfer delivers you to the Colca Canyon where opportunities await to observe Andean condors and rejuvenate in hot springs. Traveling with our guides through Cusco and the Sacred Valley is a culture-filled experience that deepens your appreciation of the Inca heartland. The crowning jewel of Inca engineering, Machu Picchu, is a legacy of this sophisticated civilization.

The 3-hour drive from Arequipa to the Colca Canyon passes through the extraordinary landscapes of the Reserva Nacional de Salinas y Aguada Blanca. Before the descent, you’ll reach Patapampa Pass at a staggering elevation of 16,109 feet (4,910 meters).
Stop in Chivay village for lunch, visit Calera Hot Springs, and continue to your lodge for a relaxing night.
Fly from Arequipa to Cusco. Upon arrival at the airport, meet a Incas Expert Travel representative for the short drive to your hotel in the historic center. Along the way, you will see stunning examples of the city’s hybrid Spanish-Inca architecture.
Begin your day with a private guided tour of Cusco’s most important sites. Start with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral and Qoricancha. Later, see the impressive ruins of Sacsayhuaman.
Spend the afternoon at your leisure. Shop with locals at San Pedro Market or wander the streets of bohemian San Blas.
