Day 1

Your journey begins with a stop in Guayaquil, gateway to the Galapagos Islands. Meet our representative at the airport for a transfer to your hotel and a short briefing on what to expect during your Galapagos Cruise. Enjoy the evening exploring the vibrant nightlife of this tropical Ecuadorian city.

Day 2
Galapagos seals swim in translucent water

Upon arrival at Baltra airport, meet your guides for a transfer to cruise ship. Enjoy lunch as you set sail to the first adventure. Ride a dinghy boat from shore to a tranquil lagoon bordered by mangroves where pelicans, herons, and egrets feed. In the calm waters, you’ll see turtles swimming among white-tipped reef sharks.

Day 3

Make a wet landing on Sullivan Bay and walk on a path through extensive lava flows formed in the 19th century. You’ll have time to snorkel and swim in the water.

Enjoy a memorable walk on the dark red beach of Rabida Island. Take a dinghy ride to observe nesting seabirds and then snorkel off the coast amid the thriving marine life.

Day 4

In the morning, make a wet landing on a volcanic black sand beach and explore the uplifted coral reef where you may find giant tortoises, land iguanas, and flightless cormorants. Snorkel with sea turtles, sea lions and tropical fish.

After lunch, walk to a saltwater crater lake with views of Isabel’s volcanic cones. Then take a dinghy ride to see colonies of blue-footed boobies and Galapagos penguins.

Day 5

Cross the Bolivar Channel and land on the rocky shore of Fernandina to see marine iguanas mingling with sally lightfoot crabs on the lava terrain. Enjoy snorkeling with diverse endemic sea fauna.

Take a dinghy ride to observe a variety of sea and coastal birds. Enjoy deep-water snorkeling in one of the richest marine havens on Earth.

Day 6

Land at Puerto Ayora and drive into the Santa Cruz highlands. Enjoy a short walk through the lush green hills to see wild giant tortoises.

Transfer to Baltra airport to begin your onward journey to Lima. Upon arrival, meet our Incas Expert Travel representative for a transfer to your Lima hotel.

Day 7

Fly from Lima to Cusco. Upon arrival at the airport, meet a Incas Expert Travel representative for the short drive to your hotel in the historic center. Along the way, you will see stunning examples of the city’s hybrid Spanish-Inca architecture.

You have the rest of the afternoon to explore the city. Remember to take it easy on your first day at altitude.

Begin your day with a private guided tour of Cusco’s most important sites. Start with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral and Qoricancha. Later, see the impressive ruins of Sacsayhuaman.

Spend the afternoon at your leisure. Shop with locals at San Pedro Market or wander the streets of bohemian San Blas.

Day 9
Sinuous terraces blend into valley slope

Meet your guide to begin an exploration of the Sacred Valley. Your private tour visits the concentric circle terraces of Moray which descend nearly 500 feet into the earth, the multi-hued salt pans of Maras, and the monolithic fortress ruins of Ollantaytambo. At the end of the tour, catch the train to Aguas Calientes, base town for Machu Picchu.

Day 10

Wake up early and meet your guide for a memorable walk through the “lost city of the Incas” and let yourself be swept away by the magical landscape that surrounds this important ruin. Finish up with last photos and then return to Aguas Calientes town for the return trip to Cusco.
